Teabagging: Man’s “shocking” video game rampage!

I fuck you not, this is an actual article and headline and no April fools was 9 days ago:

This is the quality of video game journalism we have come to expect in 2018, it has gone from bad to worse and now just downright garbage. In what world do we live that you would want to fire someone for teabagging them in a video game? Luckily most people in the Metro article agreed:

They did not even bother contacting the creators of Wormhole Wars: 1047 Games, neither did they try and do any form of background research on the developers or the game. They based their entire article on a single person’s Tweet. The Tweet and person in question is Mike Futter formerly of Game Informer (Go Figure):

Not only did he start this whole he then also went on the threaten 1047 Games with his brand of social justice thuggery, because you know that is what people like him and the perpetually offended do. They threaten you into submission when you don’t capitulate to them and their demands:

“It is the quickest way to ensure you don’t get coverage”  What a fucken pathetic attempt at a thinly failed threat. Video game journalists complain about Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy calls it too difficult, it becomes the No.1 best seller on the PlayStation. Video game journalists complain about Cuphead calls it racist and the next Dark Souls sells over two million copies across two platforms in a couple of weeks. Video game journalists call Kingdom Come: Deliverance racist. It has sold over a million copies despite all the cries of racism for not including black characters in a game set in 13th CENTURY BOHEMIA. Video game journalists complain about Far Cry 5, says it is not political enough and because of that it is boring. Becomes the 2nd biggest Ubisoft launch and fastest selling Far Cry game. See where I am going with this?

But as it turns out the Tweet in question was so far removed from the truth it was not even funny as CEO of 1047 Games Ian Proulx pointed out the truth in a reply to Mike Futter’s Tweet. Also, the press conveniently lied about who was being teabagged:

But didn’t’ CEO of 1047 Games Ian Proulx just say he was the one being teabagged? Interesting, so I decided to contact Amanda Farough on Twitter asking her to explain the reason behind her name popping up in the article and if there was any truth to the claims and what her involvement was in all of this. And you can guess what happened next: Which begs the question, why would she block me for just asking what her involvement was in this entire thing? So right before she blocked me I managed to go through her Twitter history and things become a lot clearer. What most likely what happened or did not happen and this is pure speculation on my part. Either she lied about it happening, and Mike Futter picked up on the lie thinking it was the truth and amplified it causing it to blow up on social media. Hence she started blocking people, or she was indeed teabagged accidentally by someone else who was playing. But that still doesn’t explain the developer’s comments on the subject. Knowing video game journalists I am inclined to take the side of the developers.

This Twitter drama caused all sorts of clowns to pop out from the woodwork so to speak including Aubrey Norris, who’s Twitter Bio states that she is part of the gaming team at Microsoft. Who blatantly wanted to dox and ruin someone’s professional career because she is easily offended. Not to mention it goes against Twitter’s terms of service:

Well isn’t that nice someone employed by Microsoft is up for ruining someone’s professional career over being teabagged…My brain really hurts from the levels of stupidity, childishness and sheer pettiness of the people involved. Then claim they are professionals, no fuck you. Professionals would not have started the drama on Twitter or even Tweeted about it in the first place, you simply could have walked over the person in question and talked to them. The pure arrogance of these people is amazing. The presumption that they somehow have the power to gatekeep whose game lives and dies because the developer or video game did something that they did not like is astounding.
