I see Paul Feigh is blaming “geek culture” for his shitty Ghotbusters remake/reboot and the horrible trailer. Which now has gone on to become the most disliked trailer on Youtube. “Geek culture is home to some of the biggest assholes I’ve ever met in my life,” Feig told Mathew Kickstein. The media’s bullshit attempt to spin the movies critics as misogynistic woman haters is well documented now. It is absurd at this stage, that people and the media are still trying to instill that shut down narrative and attitude, dislike the trailer then you must be a sexist pig for thinking that.
It will go either two ways. It will make money, probably be forgettable in terms of quality and production value. And we will have to read nonstop news articles of gloating. Or it could fail and then we will have to suffer through nonstop articles telling us how sexist we are for not supporting the movie. As a huge Ghostbusters fan, I really just don’t want to see this movie now because everyone trying to defend it only seems to do so by attacking you if you have any sort of criticism about it. This is eerily reminiscent to the Josh Trank Twitter meltdowns. He’s breaking down because he knows the film will flop.
