#MuslimsAreNotTerrorist: The No True Scotsman logical fallacy

Firstly before we start my deepest condolences to the families and people who lost loved ones in the Paris attacks, my thoughts go out to them. Now can we talk about the big elephant in the room? Each and every time there is an attack of this nature social media flares up with hashtags like #MuslimsAreNotTerrorist ect. Now while I agree with the sentiment that not all Muslims are terrorists it does come off as of a bit off as a “No True Scotsman Fallacy” Instead of looking at why these attacks are being perpetrated on a constant basis by ISIS and how we can avoid them or stop them all together, we get bombarded with the fact that not all Muslims aren’t terrorists.

CTwkRSoWoAEdL6ZYes we are aware of this fact, but isn’t it time for Islam to focus instead on themselves and purge themselves of these extremists? First positive step would be church and state separation, because you cannot tell me that is one of the major problems facing Islam today. Now I am all for the right to practice your religion, but if it spawns so many terrorists and blood thirsty killers then it is time to go clean your own house. So while we should not blame all Muslims, ignoring the issue is no solution either. And anyone tweeting that terrorism has no religion needs to get their collective heads out of their asses. Divine justification & afterlife promises make people do awfully terrible things these days.
